To get the airbag light turned off,you will have to see someone with a Tech 1 scantool,(usually holden),or find someone with a scantool that can access the SRS system. You will need to read the error codes from the SRS system to find out what error made the light come on in the first place. And whatever the error code shows, this part will need to be fixed/replaced.The car is actually classed as unroadworthy with the SRS light on.Also dont listen to anyone who says to just remove the bulb. Its a cheapskate way out,it leaves the SRS system in a state where it wont work in a crash, just get it fixed properly. The most common problem that I have come across where the SRS dashlight was on, was where someone had removed the SRS relay, or undone part of the SRS wiring when the ignition key was in the on position,or was turned to the on position while the relay or wiring was not connected.(this happens a lot when people are fitting stereos etc).So if this is the case, its just a matter of clearing the SRS error code, resetting the SRS dash light, and the system is back to being fully functional again.

when they use the scan tool to clear the error how long would it take for the error to come back on without fixing it if there is an error. coz they will be suplling a rwc but wondering if they will just scan the srs to clear and leave it so it pass the rwc..

When they clear the error, if the problem is still there, the error will return, and the dash light will come straight back on again as soon as the ignition key is turned to the on position again.Whenever the ignition key is turned to on,the SRS does a systems check and thats when it will detect any problems and set an error code. You can see if this systems check is working, the SRS dashlight should come on for around 2 seconds ,then go off whenever the ignition is switched to the on position.(except when theres an error logged, then the SRS light stays on)

have you had a look under it to see how all the bushes are? any oil leaks/fuel leaks/water leaks?
when you drove it was it around the block or a decnt drive?
try start the car when cold. then let it warm up and see how it goes starting when hot.
take it for a drive and make sure the thermostat actually opens when it gets to the correct temp.
does the diff make any strange noises? or the fuel pump? its manual so how does the gear box and clutch feel?
being a series 2 i believe they have the Getrag? check the ID plates and confirm what that say again what it now has.
it might have had a new motor put in or gearbox. if so there is no way telling exactly how many K's the motor has done. wipers work fine squirters are fine has all the washers/bolts on the shocks.

have a look at the condition of the oil/coolant/air filter. as they are usually the best tell on how the car has been treated.
