What do the Sureflo's sound like lmoengnr? Do you have a video of the exhaust note and dyno results?

Its no use asking me, 'coz I'm biased! It sounded pretty good hooked up to the HSV 2.5" catback, but sounds even better now, hooked up to a 3" DPE bi-modal catback.

I don't understand the idea of people wanting there exhaust system to "look stock"?

People have all sorts of criteria for how they spend their own money. To each their own.

I have tried to take a decent sounding video, but none of my microphones will actually capture the sound 'true to life'...

I like the idea of these Pacemaker PH5387 long tube Tri-Y's noted by monstar in the same thread (below). Seems like it could be a good compromise, offering good low RPM exhaust scavenging for better usable street torque, decent header length for increased scavenging/torque right through the rev range, and possibly better ground clearance than 4-1's. Might just not have the extra 'beaty note' that 4-1's can give.

Someone correct me if I've got this wrong.

I have the Pacey 5387's monstar recommended into a hsv 2.5" mid section. The flanges sit around 15mm below the chassis and the cats a little lower again. They do sit tucked up and haven't yet scraped -stock height.

I want my entire car to remain stock, that's why the only 'mods' it has (and will ever have) is tinting and opticoat ;). As someone else said, each to their own.

Thanks for the feedback Mike. What does it sound like? Got a video to upload?

And what was the performance change like? Did dyno or seat of the pants indicate significantly improved low to mid RPM torque improvement?

I had the first option on my series 1 wagon.

Have the second to last on my series 2 wagon. DPE system, but merges from 3 inch to 2.5 inch at the centre.

My current system shits all over the 340 HSV system I had in my series 1 wagon.
Both in performance and sound.
Yes the LS3 is a bigger engine than the L76 so comparison on performance is probably invalid.
But the sound difference is chalk and cheese.

If had my time again in my series 1 wagon, I would go straight to what I have now in my series 2. No question.
Hey mate so what headers and cats are you running in your series 2?
I've got an E3 Ls3 with the same catback system as you.....
