Im getting 6800 rpm out of my 383 pulls very well, puts out 450rwhp and tons of torque. Was well worth all the effort and trouble.

Hardly worth it for the money spent.the power gains if any would be tiny id get a performance pack from somewhere done massive power gains from that and only half the cash ..

Digging up an old thread again... I have a VT SS II and the opportunity to buy a 6L out of a VE GTS series 1 for $1500. I know the owner and full history of this car, and am wondering if its worth the effort to put this engine into my VT? If not, I may run it in my 180B drag car I'm building. Will the carby setup for LS1's fit on this motor? Also, its a 307kw engine, so is it a LS2 or an L98?

It could be a cheap conversion given the initial lay out for the new engine.

Is it worth it? Well, when doing a conversion like this the question Id be asking myself do I want to sit behind this dash for the next X years?

I would buy the engine straight away that pretty dam cheap for a ls2
Does it come with loom and ecu?
It could sit for 12 months while you figure out what you wanted to do with it and if you sold it on you could make a little cash off it.
