Car: 2004 VY calais, Series 2
Color: Quick silver
Engine: Ecotec 3.8lt v6 (For now)
Trans: Standard 4Spd Auto
Diff: Standard
Interior: factory black leather interior with black roof lining
Suspension: King spring's SL fronts and SSL rear's. Monroe shortened front gas struts and rear shocks. All new front radius rod, castor and lower control arm bushes by Nolathane. New link pins, bearing top mounts and plates.
Brakes: Standard size rotors but slotted with Bendix pads all round. Black disc hubs, backing plates and caliper brackets with Yellow brake calipers.
Future mod's:
-L67 motor swap with a fully built motor with all the usual go fast bit's to wake it up along with a A2A cooler setup and dyno tune
-Extractors, High flow cats and good exhaust
-3.45 or possibly 3.7 LSD diff
-Get my HBD calais bobtail/boot lip sprayed and put it on
-Lower it(New springs, shocks, mounts ect) - Done
-Wheels - Done
-New brakes and paint brakes - Done
-Do all the front end bushes - Done
-Sunroof
-Tint Windows
-Install twin pod gauge holder and gauges
So i finally upgraded from my VT commodore to a nice calias for a daily! I purchased it off a the second owner with all the books and papers
Got it in standard form about 2 months back now.
Heres a few photos from purchase day up untill now..
Soon there will be some progress photos of the engine build!
