Memcal socket install

Can anyone help me put with an xdf for my VP bin? The xdf's ive been able to download give odd readings, like 88 degree spoark advances n stuff...i noticed b4 someone said that VP's use the $5D.xdf? I downloaded this..i think...
O yeah i bought an APU1.

you want this one probably its a $FB its not too well labelled but of started too add to the descriptions

Why did you put the xdf's name as $FB, does the name have any relation to anything? like Bbpa5D and Arbp 5D?

its like $5D for vn vp are $FB and $A5

Hi all,trying to refresh my memory on doing the VR manual ECU conversion into my VN V8 conversion.
Was the VR memcal a 512k or 256k eeprom and what chip was used (greenfoam)
I'm using the AT29c256 at the moment.
Did the 10k resistor need to be removed on the diag/cable or use as per normal?
Do u still use Tunerpro or T/pro RT to read in real time?
Do any other mods need to be done (greenfoam) or is that it?

^^^ I'm looking at buying a programmer and was wondering if this one will do (i'm new at this). Btw, I know it comes with a 27c256 chip, but I'm buying a 29c256 which I can overwrite using the programmer instead of using a UV eraser on the 27cxxx ? Is that right? Cheers.

yep, thatll be fine. just remember to get a 28 pin 29c256, not a 32pin one
