pffffft! lies all lies its a god damn 454 gracing it wings and no less, the HP we can worry about later. why have the potential LEGALLY to put a BBC in it and then go with a crappy small block. bleeeh!

Because Dan is a sook and won't cut a hole in his bonnet....I say, he needs to grow a pair :p

Little does he know, to make 500HP+ out of a small block he'll probably need a hole in his bonnet anyway to fit a decent manifold on it. Ain't life grand?

lol this is Morton we are talking about, he would make some custom engine mounts or something to make the engine sit low enough to fit the filter under the bonnet.

Most likely it the mounts would be fashioned entirely out of old cable ties :p

Can't drop a big block any lower than the factory mounts....Been there, tried all that. The best we could do was no air cleaner, even then the air bleeds on the carby were just rubbing on the bonnet.

How big is the air gap compared to say a Victor Junior or Bow Tie manifold?

Edit: Just looked, Air gap is 4.92" tall. I know an Edelbrock Torker just fits under an HQ bonnet with a 2" element but the Torker is only 4.63" tall. It would be tight, you would probably have to notch the bonnet ribs.

However, i would have thought the Victor Junior would have been the manifold for the job.
