all the vl's fell through that i was chasing after.

then this came up got it for $800 and it did the 1.5hr drive home with ease

its got a nice 308 with eldebrock preformer manifold, a quaddie and genie extractors, auto with a stall and apparently a shift kit, the car also has manual steering which will go onto the sle aswell..

should hopefully have it in the sle this afternoon..

well thought i would post up new pics of the sl/e,

engine conversion was no real hassle got it in and running within a day.

dramas i had were: v8 tailshaft not mating with the 6cyl diff, overcome by using 253/vk 202 efi diff flange. and d/s extractor sitting on manual steering rack.

also the auto crossmember i had left that bolted to the body and noticed that it needed to be moved forward to fit the auto gearbox.

thanks for the comments guys, though selling the car now so wont be doing any work on it... all my time is going into my caprice now

nah its gotta go, its just sitting there doing nothing although i did take it out this morning for a quick fang around the block and was very enjoyable.

but need the money for something with atleast 6 seats

how hard was it for you to find indicators?
i had to get front right headlight it was so hard to find
still looking for back right taillight i got in a finder bender in a car park lost both lights stuped granny in toyota

only got the front spoiler and sideskirts and nah dont think i would put it back on (yuck)

indicators i got off ebay brand new, headlights easy i got a spare genuine set here and same with the taillights haha yeh i started hording sle parts for some reason..
