Here is my RB25DET Calais. let me know what you think..

Make: Holden
Model: VL Commodore
Colour: Blue/silver
Engine: RB25DET
Gearbox: RB20DET
Diff: 2 pinion 25 spline LSD, 3.9:1 ratio
Exhaust: Turbo back 3" with 4" dump tip
Suspension: Stock
Brakes: Stock discs all round
Power: ?? will let you know when the computer is in and tuned

Only mods so far are the engine and gearbox swap, lsd diff centre and racing seats. uless you count the momo gear knob and racing steering wheel.

Future mods are full sound system with in-dash DVD, custom trim, upgrade computer in two weeks, intake plenum, fuel rail, injectors, fuel pump, brakes (my next upgrade), suspension and custom boot enclosure.

why go smaller?? keep the rb30 bottom end and put on a 25 or 26 head make it an rb25/30 or rb26/30 rb30DET

i bought it with that motor in it. its a bit of a shame coz i just fount this mint as factory manual turbo calais. completely stock apart from big front mount and stereo. only 500 bucks more too

2 years on.. Not much changed. Just before this went into the shed and collected dust for just under 2 years, I got talked into a wolf 3d V500 computer Would not recommend it to anyone!!! ran like ****, cold starts were a bastard, kept running out of fuel at high revs (stock fuel system). Pulled her out a couple of days ago, old computer back in, shitty little tee piece boost controller and she runs sweet again. chucked in some lowered springs before it went away but still needs a wheel alignment. I forgot how fun this is to drive. Quick question though, What oil should i run in the rb25det?? and while were at it. what should i run in my vs v6? been away from commodores for a while and now i feel like a complete noob lol
