so I ended up getting 20 inch HSV pentagons and the front rear airbag system is still not in! been waiting on a few more parts from the states and the head gasket went on her, so she is now in the garage with everything apart. will upload pics tomorrow. Heads are getting reco'd and all gaskets will be done. also doing a massive clean up and paint everything i can black haha

Hey guys, bit of an update on the calais, not sure if anyone checks this out but still haha
So yeah! I ended up doing the head gaskets, got it all back together and it feels like a new car so pretty happy with that out come. I basically had the heads reco'd, machined, valves cut, valve stem seals replaced, then I used an ARP head stud kit and chucked it all back together using new OEM gaskets. Not a bad effort for an apprentice doing it all in my garage by myself haha
So that's the motor side of things! I also figured I'd do the airbag suspension while it was off the road and finished that all off as well, also got some new wheels so let me know what you guys think of basically the finished product, still a lot of little things I need to finish up on it but yeah here it is!

Looks good.

Just one thing....The next time you have photos done, or take them yourself,
put the radio antenna down.
It spoils the picture some what.

Nah i agree, the motor actually shat itself so it only stays up now, I've looked into replacing it but it's not a priority haha I've spent a lot of nights and weekends working on it so I just want to enjoy the car as is for a little bit before I start fixing up the little things.
