MY17 Specs and Release Date

Hi crew_man, with 1.5 hrs to go what can you tell us about the ME, I promise I won't tell a sole! Have you ordered 1?

To be honest I know very little about the special editions as I left GMH in 2015.

I had the opportunity to buy one of the special editions with staff pricing but as I bought a MY16 Reserve Edition I didn't really feel the need to fork out for one

Well for all the people who have recently started contributing this thread that don't like the blackout kit, there are still plenty of MY16s out there which are $1000s cheaper than an MY17 especially during the sale so why not go and buy one with all the chrome you want instead of complaining? I for one am really happy that my MY17 on order has full blackout because all that chrome has put me off updating till now.

Some of us desired a 2017 with fit outs as per what we knew when we laid down a deposit. Good for you if you like the black outs, i don't. Black outs don't go hand in hand with top of the range IMO. For me a 2016 isn't what i wanted from the start. Agreed "complaining" is a fruitless exercise though as it is what it is.

These cars look sportier and more aggressive with the blackout kit, which is no doubt why Holden have made it standard on the Redline. Calais should be the only model tarted up with Chrome in my opinion.

Just do what I do, and label everyone who likes something you don't as stupid.
Works for me as a general life approach.

Fair enough considering changes involved, have you seen one, any advice on what to expect?

Well it has just happened, there has been a special presentation and show for employees at HQ Melbourne, with all 3 limited editions on show, but employees have been told not to share photos until 2pm.

Doesn't seem like there is any public presentation, just the info which will be distributed by auto sites at 2pm.

Guys, I just seen the special editions and there wasnt any live presentation but I can say I loved them all. Just my opinion anyway. Definitely more subtle than Lowndes edition. Pics from 2pm
