MY17 VFII Redline
Like E85 useability with the bigger injectors, fuel pump and AFM on the automatic models.

Im quite glad to be getting the AFM free LS3 after all the reports of lifter issues etc. Its not worth the tiny amount of fuel it saves. My VF is going to be a keeper so the less issues to worry about the better.
Still I would have liked to have the cd/dvd player and bolstered seats, but you win some and lose some I suppose.

VF 6.0 SS
VF Series 1 (pre Oct 14) build was the pick of the litter
- Forged Alloy wheels (dropped in MY15)
- E85 fuel compatible
- Fog/driving lights
- DVD player head unit

Most of these were dropped as a cost saving measure to offset the cost things like Paddle shift, LS3 and Bi Modal exhaust.

MY15 Redlines were advertised with black forged wheels. My post Oct 14 Redline has wheels which feature the name Alcoa.

Mine was made in Sept/14 & has high bolstered seats.
Mine was also made in September 2014, and only has the current seat bolstering.
Can't find a photo which shows it clearly, sorry.

With that swap, there is no way the S1 is the 'pick of the litter'.

Hands up anyone that will give back the LS3 for a DVD player? (I got the 20" forged wheels anyway)

Not long now before the factory starts to ramp up again for 2017, anyone been for a drive past the holding yard lately?

And who would give up an S1 for a 2008+ HSV E series with a LS3?
Sadly, the engines in the VF are pretty old tech when you look at what GM was producing in 2013 (S1) and 2015 (S2).
They're great for tuning and power mods but that's a whole new level of financial commitment beyond what you're already giving GMH at the point of sale.
