MY 17 SSV SOAG Redline
View attachment 190990 Off topic I guess, but been a bit preoccupied to comment on all your news guys. Used my new Redline to escort my beautiful daughter to her Wedding on Sunday. Have photos of her with all my new V8s since the VR Clubsport but this is the best! Didn't do the ribbons tho, cos they might mark the paint! :)
Bet that was a blast :)
Hope she was tucked away in bed come the reception.
Car not the daughter lol.
Congrats on your Redline.
Mine won't be so spanking New when my daughter walks down the aisle - only 6 lol, but my little bloke saw a Redline video, he is 3.. racing round the house for 20 mins afterward making gear change sounds lol

So.... After 2 weeks of trying to get an answer from our dealer regarding our build number etc, as our contracted delivery date for our Redline is the 31st or March, and we haven't heard a thing, despite a weekly visit to check in person. It turns out, there has been some significant delays, some of which are touched on in this forum regarding US orders etc, either way we have been bumped to a tentative date of May 9th, and a total wait time since ordering of around 150 days, probably should have bought a MSE lol.

Oh No! That is terrible news. I was told my delivery date would be end of May - I am already hanging out for those 2 (was almost 3) months to fly past and don't know if I could handle it being pushed out even further! Well, I suppose that is what you get when you want a specific colour and not one off the lot....

Thanks mate. Yes - there is no other car she would prefer to travel in, and yes it was parked out of sight until after the service and back to the secure under cover parking before a beer passed my lips! Great to see you are teaching your children about our history and heritage!

oh well thats easy then! you can actually enjoy/embrace the first drive. i was too nervous! it was a friday afternoon of a long weekend from the heart of the city out to the 'burbs.

I should tick over the 500k mark today/tomorrow, so ill start feeding it some more revs. i have been VERY well behaved and constrained keeping the revs under 3g
Mine's got over 900k on it now over 3 weeks of very varied driving - its an auto so no conscious tacho watching. Gave it a bit more serious launch on the motorway ramp this morning and was absolutely blown away by the sound (as is my wife) - no aftermarket mods for me, happy with the way it is - don't even need to pull the relay on the bi-modal.

That will change, first pulled the fuse then Headers/cats then full system. Sounds so much better than the factory pop crackle crap.

I had an original delivery of 31st of March too, but bumped out only till the 3rd April. That was the last update I got just over a week ago, so suspect it'll be around the 9th like yours now.

I just checked my GMON with Holden live chat and the target build date for my SSvR is April 7th with an estimated delivery to the dealer Thursday 13th April. Looks like 'll get my car just after easter.

Dear Michael,

Where did you hear about these photo's? Have you spoken to your local dealership?

Yours sincerely,
