what i was pointing out to the dude, 3 offenses :

obviously driving with mobile phone - 3 dem points +$230 fine + driver intervention course

not driving to conditions - this is getting to be a big one here, there way of saying yeah the person might be being a ******** but your not compensating for it, dont know the dem points or fine on that one but its nasty.

and then the third one you get espec if your a p plater becuase they want to finish you off with that 1 point left after they hit you with the phone charge,

failure to maintain effective control of hte vehicle. they can put this one however they want. simplest one would be you were concentrating on this other vehcile and or phone, therefore not controlling your own vehicle effectively.

not hitting out at ya dude..... just yeah if there was a cop around when you did this who wanted to book you, u coulda lost your license over this ********.

and if its a chick she's probably done stuff in front of a cop or been pulled over and got away with it.

girl at works been pulling crap like this for 3 years... got out of driving with a mobile phone by giving the cop her number.

ended up in court last month, apparantly got done because she never answered when the cop called ;)

Not to mention that the lane she was in ended, so she had to merge right, the OP should have been aware of that, rather than taking pics, and made room for her.

At first I was shocked - and then I noticed the QLD plates on the car...

It used to be cruisey on Queensland roads up until recently. There was no such thing as road rage twenty years ago. Then you mexicans started moving up here. Now i have to drive like a freak and anticipate every dimwit left right and centre. But to be fair i think everyone is becoming dumber, not just the mexicans. I've too many near misses and stories so i won't bother to name any (and no i haven't had any or caused any accidents).

Yeah another +1 for this.
Driver's like this sh*t me to no end. People who don't indicate, drive at 95 in the far right lane of a freeway. Victorian drivers are the worst.
Everyday I get so pissed that I get in the shits for doing 106 in a 100, yet the real dangers are the d**kheads who think they're above the law in anyway.
And its not just women, a lot of men are victims. Women do not know the road rules well, but most men are the one's who abuse them.

I'll be the first to say I toe the line as much as I can, 83 in a 80, because I know they take 2-3km off for machine error. I do 115 on the freeway, but I don't tail or endanger others unless they're blocking up the right lane. But people who do 75 in a 80 zone, 90 on the freeway in the middle lane, how is that fair to others trying to maintain traffic and not cause hazards?

A workmate was saying you can attach a camera to your car and just snap everytime you see someone breaking the law, and then take it to the cops, but its a lot of work, unless you use a video camera with someone else in the car.

I've driven in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney, and Melbourne are by far the worst for drivers.

Bottom line, IT IS WAY TOO EASY FOR PEOPLE TO GET THEIR LICENSE. Anyone with a quarter of a brain can pass the Test, but I impore you to ask anyone if they know the finites of the rules, or if they can change a tyre or jump a car. It bloody sh*ts me to no end, and ruins what, for me, is something I love doing and enjoy everyday. Driving.

End Of Rant.

I would say they would be at fault due to poor maintenence and i dont think she would get any insurance or anything

With regard to the original question regarding her being at fault - no. The lights are only a warning device to alert following traffic that she is slowing down or stopping. Whilst her car is defective, it is the responsibility of the following driver to remain at a safe distance at all times.

If her brake lights weren't working at all, her car would simply be defective and unroadworthy. You would be negligent for failing to keep clear.

If she is driving a manual she could be using the gears to slow down, then instead of sitting at the lights with her foot on the brake, she could be riding the clutch.

Or just leaving the stick in first and starting and turning off the engine :) which is what I would totally do if I had a piece of **** car. Just to brighten my day.

I presume these Mexicans have left their sombrero's sitting on the parcel
shelf. After all, it's really difficult to drive with them on.

I got a person who i will name and shame

On Monday 22nd of February Morning time about 8:30 - 9:00

My girlfriend and i where going to work when all of a sudden a ute sped up to us in the left lane to find a car parked so he decided to force his way into the right lane and continuing to bend the left side mirror off and almost pushing us into on coming traffic forcing my girlfriend to stop and let him in. His driver side door was inline with my girlfriends car bonnet when he decided to force his way in.

My girlfriend decided to take a picture of his vehicle just incase any damage was done.
The ute driver decides to stop his car, leave his it and walk straight up to my girlfriends window and scream at her "why the **** are you taking pictures of my car".
So i decide that if a grown guy wants to talk to my girlfriend like that then he will have to talk to me about about so i get out of the car and as i do i notice his lip tremble and then i asked him "what the F**K are you doing, get the F**K back in your car" pointing in his face and towards his car and as i escort him back to his vehicle he gets a little nerve to ask why my girlfriend was taking a picture

Here is a picture of his vehicle and him leaving it
and if this ass hole uses this site you should consider yourself lucky because if it was any other person i believe they would have been quite happy to beat the living **** out of you.

^^ business ute! did you by chance call them up and ask for their street address? i'd rock down there with a print out of the picture you got and ask to speak to the owner. state that he got out of his car and abused your girlfriend while obviously at work/representing work. At the very least- you got damn good proof or road rage! Phone number of business and positive ID of driver. Isn't it 3 points and few hundred dollars ?!?

my name and shame is this idiot in the silver monaro in woden (canberra)....P17-12-09_1634 [1600x1200].jpg

I parked next to free spot, then came back to see this arse park so close to me I had to get in through the passenger side. Waited around for a bit, but no show. A shame really. Idiot.
