VZ SS Thunder Ute
I have a VZ thunder ute which is constantly cooking brakes on track days. I cant afford the HSV Harrop/AP kits. Has anyone had experience adapting a Jap import 4 pot caliper to the commodore. These seem to be pretty cheap if I can find the right one.

How is changing caliper going to fix your problem?

What pads/fluid/rotors are you currently running?

There's no reason why your standard brakes can't stand up to heavy track work as is with the right component.

Is your problem pad fade (rock hard brake pedal and no brakes) or fluid fade (soft spongy pedal and no brakes)???

Get some DBA 5000 series rotors and some good quality pads. Should be good enough for what you want. Better calipers will not fix your problem if the rotors are glazed from being cooked.
