So I've had my retro little ski boat for a few years, http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/miscellaneous/186588-my-pride-panther-boat.html, and decided that this summer I would sell it and then purchase something a bit newer and bigger.

Then my wife suggested I shouldn't bother waiting until I sell the old one and just buy a new boat now.

So I did.

Year: 1996 Hull
Make: Searay
Model: 210 Signature
Length: 21ft
Powered: 5.7 Mercury feeding through an ALPHA. 260HP as far as I can tell.

it's probably a couple years older than what I was aiming for, but the hull is in amazing condition and I got it for a steal.

Had a new motor put in her in 2006 and since then has seen about 30H of fresh water use.

I have a few little things to sort out with the interior, but she's good to go in the water as she sits.

Nice Sea ray mate. Trailer setup looks a bit poor though, Looks like the skid is sitting on the chine of the hull.

Just did some mathematical equations.

1496kg: Boat
96kg: 100L of fuel
5kg: other engine fluids
400kg: trailer
1997kg: total weight.

2000kg: My Exy's braked towing limit.... Phew!

We had a customer with a kluger towing a 2.7 tonne boat yesterday, also had another with a similar sized bayliner using a vx wagon.

Placard says 400kg so I'm going with that. :p

This weekend I might go for a test tow to see how it feels. It's really stable to tow and brakes are good when I was pulling with the hilux, but the exy isn't trialed on the road, just the front yard.
