My car with its new chrome door strips.

Like i said in the heading my car is in the middle of a rebuild at the moment, My car has had a knocking sound for a while and i have had a falling out with my mechanic so i have decided to do it myself, Me and my mate have stripped my motor thinking it could be the cam, we have found that the valve springs are miles to heavy for the cam causing them to wear out my lifters straight away, we have found I had a broken cam plate and the timing chain tensioner was almost snapped in half, the cam looks fine but I have a massive shopping list now

Things I doing
- mace performance lifters
-mace double row timing chain
- new mace timing chain cover kit for the double row chain
- mace 105# valve springs
- mace retainers
-mace valve locks
-mace reusable rocker bolt
-new harmonic balancer

As well as all the new gaskets and things needed, this better fix my knocking sound or I will go insane

Hey guys as you all no I'm doing an engine rebuild to fix my problems. I have decided to get my cam reground in a camtech 221/217 @50 with 530 lift. It's a bit smaller than my current cam but I'm going to add a set of yalla terra 1.7 rockers to raise the lift to 561. I'm hoping this cam should work well

Hey guys it's been a while and not much has happened, I have my new reground cam, it's a camtech 217/221. 530 lift 110 lsa. I also have my oil pump kit from mace to suit my new double row timing chain which will be turning up this week, once everything is here I will put it back in my motor. Then move onto new lifters, yalla terra 1.7 rockers and a lot of dress up pieces for my motor. Things are starting to look up :)

New cam is in, timing chain on and timing case are now all on my motor. I have taken about 60 nuts and bolts in to be chromed to dress up the motor a bit. Next will be a set of lifters to go in. I have also now got a lip for my boot. I think it's one of the hbd lips. When it's painted and fitted I will post up some photos

Bit of an update. The motor is back together. We installed the new lifters and injectors. All I'm waiting for is a set of 1.7 rockers and we can start it. All my chromed and painted parts look the goods. I'm wanting to get some msd coils and leads to dress it up some more. Once it's all together and running I will post some photos

Yeah mate. They have only had a slight port and a basic reco but there was a differance to be had. But in saying that it is a fair amount of work to get them off so it might not be worth the effort. Hahahaha. That doesn't help very much
