Noisy Doors....

Hello all,

My VS has developed a very annoying squeaky/rubbing noise from all 4 doors. It sounds like the doors are moving around a fair bit when you drive over anything less smooth than a highway. I have checked for loose hinges, bushes etc but everything is tight as.

Could it be that the door seals (the big rubber seals that sit on top of the window) have lost their moisture or something, shrinking and thereby creating a space for movement?

This problem has me stuffed 'cos I have spent ages tracking all other noises down, but this one I just can't seem to beat. Even passengers are starting to comment on my 'creaky' doors!

Any ideas?

If your not doing much driving on dusty roads try spraying the rubbers with Silicone spray, might do the trick, if not your rubbers will be nice and shiny.
Just a thought.
