I just put 3.9's in mine. They're ok but a bit too practical for a weekend driver. 1500 on the fwy in 6th. My gearbox Is a bit rough aswell.

Love the clubby man. Those wheels are the best! Best looking rims hsv ever made! Wanna swap for superstores? Haha

you're a bit far away for swaps mate, lol, and 1500 that's not far off what it does with the 3.46's in the rear now

Clubsports have got 3.7's in them stock. Even more reason to get 4.11's :yeah:

The vy series to r8 manuals had 3.7's from memory but both auto and manual vz r8's had 3.46.

Yep, you are correct. VX and VY manual's had 3.73 with the standard T56. The VY GTS had 3.91's from the factory "drools" and the VT R8 had the 3.73 gears while the non-R8 VT had 3.46?

Basically, from VT to VY they put in higher ratio diffs to get a bit more out of the notoriously sluggish LS1 motor, but when the LS2 came along with a **** tonne of down low torque the decided to go a lower ratio diff, but a higher ratio gearbox as the T56-M12 can handle more torque than the T56 and having a 3.73 diff with that would have been silly for a factory car.

So that's why it's almost at 1500. I think mine was on about 1100 - 1200 with the 3.45's. Should go pretty good with 3.9's then! What do you do on the fwy with 4.11's in a hsv?
