I spent a few weekends stripping the paint off and polishing all of my engine covers by hand and they turned out like this and they have not been coated with a clear coat...
About 18 months have passed now and they have not deteriorated that much, so they only need a quick buff with "Reflections" polishing paste every 3 months or so and they come up like new.
very nice bay vs berlina... I luv it how the holden logo is red. Nice Touch

damn some of those look awsome, how would i go about polish mine i dont really wanna spend money on someone doin it, i heard u can get a drill attachment or something, anyone got a quick how too?

Here's my engine bay it's only half finished there, still gotta get a finnished piccy yet I got sick of the white engine bay as it always looked dirty so painted it matt black, I hand sand the covers but cheated a little with the help of a mouse sander and an engraving tool with different attachments, I relocated the coil to the firewall and got rid of the AC gas bottle as it never worked anyway.
I dont know if it can be seen but the lion and writing is purple too
