OP, as you've probably noticed these threads degenerate fast, cos Internet.

I personally got sick of asshole opinions and just went through the brands with my recommended spec til I found a winner. I change every 5k so it didn't take too long. It did suck because I wasted near on $200 for Royal Purple and Mobil 1 on my journey.

Funnily enough (cover your eyes SS6) Nulon was the winner for mine post boost. Penrite had always been the winner pre boost.

I've been using Pennrite for a while now , second choice would be Fuchs

5w30 or 5w40 OR 10w30 or 10w40 it depends on the car some cars are fine with 10w30 test and learn. My mothers Honda hates 10w30-40 but as soon as I put 5w30 the engine runs better.

Penrite is okay and it comes in 6L bottle for under $50 full synthetic.

I use any good oil really but I wont buy another nulon product ever!!! I used nulon lsd oil and the diff broke..... I used nulon gearbox oil and the gearbox blewup... I used nulon engine oil and the engine blew up.... I used nulon coolant and the car overheated NULON can go bl0w a goat

I used to be a fan of Nulon. We used to recommend them for years. They used to be at the front with their testing etc.

Penrite in the last 2-3 years has really picked up their game. Theyve done a lot of research and engineering and their range is now world class and has really tsaken over from Nulon in that regard.

Castrol hasnt really done much lately and IMO from a sellers POV theyre falling a bit behind.

Fuchs was really big with the Import guys. But I didnt see enough of them to really recommend them hghly to customers.
