Can't see either 3.0 or 3.6 SIDI for EFILive on tune depot, would think there's a lot to gain with cam phasing, e85 and relatively high comp. Seen any Camaro V6 .tun files stock or modded available?

There is a 3.0 tune on tune depot for efi live. I also have a 3.0 sidi along with my v8... We bought the 3.0 for fuel saving lol.......... yeh that was a stupid idea. Thought they'd have the same 2.92 diff as the SS, nup 3.27 because they are so gutless = more revs, more fuel. Poor tune....... past 35-40% throttle knocks like crazy looses power, crappy mixed mode situation with VE/Dyn/MAF........ I could go on and on. Biggest issue I have with the new models is the fuel composition sensor..... there is so much fuel waste ........

Havent started on the tuning yet, womans car. have to wait until the stat warranty is out first she so ive only taken a few logs of it......... I'd say there's atleast around 10% of fuel saving that could be had on a bog stock sidi by having it tuned.

My v8 is much more efficient overall then our 3.0

I have a 3.6 sidi, whats it cost to have them tuned for better fuel economy?

After living with a cammed LS1 for over 3 years i thought anywhere between 17-21L/100km was the normal thing.

Traded it in on a stock LS1 Monaro and now im consistently getting between 11.6-12.2L/100km with an average speed of 50kph. Such good looking economical motoring. :)

I've never found factory trip-computers to be reliable.
I'd suggest that you do as Gossie suggests. When you've got the real numbers, you'll know how serious the problem is.

agree my manual calcs are always 1 or so Litres less per 100
I use a free App on my phone, called "Fuel Log" - I just put the data in, and it does the sums.

i too use fuel log great app.

my Monaro is about the same, so economical - Clubby only uses a little more.

filled my new R8 340 Clubbie today... it reports fuel use at 13.6/100 (and its only done 600km so far all around town)

gotta be happy with that :)
