Painting front grille and drl surrounds

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has painted there front grille and drl surrounds. Was thinking of painting them and saving some cash. Juat want to know if they turned out any good.

Reading through this forum, plasti dipping seems to be the in thing for this.

or vinyl (depending on detail), easy to reverse the process too!

What would be the best way to wrap it? Put a whole sheet over the section and then cut it?

Use a long thin piece (maybe 1520 x 100 mm) and have a join somewhere, which can easily be hidden. I'm doing my side vents in carbon wrap right now, the grille will be done later.
