HRT Sack Pit Crew
Melbourne Australia
The Holden Racing Team (HRT) fired their entire pit crew yesterday.
The announcement follows HRT’s decision to take advantage of the Australian Governments Work for the Dole Scheme and Hire unemployed Aboriginal youths.
The decision was brought on by a recent documentary on how a group of Aboriginal Youths were able to remove a set of car wheels in less than 4 seconds without proper equipment, whereas HRT’s existing crew can only do it in 5 seconds with millions of dollars of Hi-Tech gear. This was thought to be an excellent yet bold move by HRT Management. As most races were won or lost in the pits, HRT would have an advantage over every other team.
However HRT got more than they bargained for. During the Aboriginals first practice session, not only were they able to change the tyres in under 4 seconds, but within 9 seconds they had resprayed, rebadged and sold the vehicle to a Ford Team for 4 dozen cans of VB, a carton of Winfield Blue and 4 litres of turpentine.
