Correct. Using a metal polish in effect seals the surface. As I said I wipe fingerprints and dust off with water and a little metho in it (helps the water to dry quicker and leave no streaks), and repolish every month or so.

vp will all have the plastic covers regardless of series designation.

the vn alloy ones will fit, but theres a hole on the passenger side one that will need welding up or a grommet in there, coz the pipe on the vp doesnt go to the rocker cover.

If you have the coin to spend go down to your local SuperCheap Auto and they have in stock (some stores) or can order in the alloy ones pre-polished.

yes, VNs DID come with a radiator cap. *sigh* okay just give me a vp one.... yes I know I said I have a VN...... lol
