I've got such a basic set up compared to some of these.
I'll post up stats when I get home... I'm not even sure what I've got it's been so long since I did it... lol

Specs:

Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4ghz
Asus P5K-E Motherboard
ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series Graphics card, think it's a 1GB one.. can't recall.
Creative Soundblaster X-FI Soundcard - early model that I find very difficult to source drivers for these days.
3Gb DDR2 Ram, not sure of the brand.
Corsair HX620W Powersupply
Asus Quietrack DVD Recorder
2x 250Gb Western Digital HDD
500Gb Western Digital HDD
2Tb Western Digital Caviar Black HDD
2Tb Western Digital External HDD
Asus 23.5" LCD Monitor
Logitech Z550 Speakers
Logitech G500 Gaming mouse
Logitech G110 Gaming keyboard

It holds up well for most games with graphics etc turned up, but I don't think it compares well to the latest and greatest stuff out these days.

Speakers: Logitech X540 5.1 Speakers

I'm on my 3rd (replaced under warranty) When it dies again, i'll be getting a billion.

Also, I WANT THOSE SPEAKERS. Mine are dead, and i cant find any for sale in Aus anywhere :(

Finally built myself a truly high-end machine!

I upgraded from an Athlon X2 5000+ with 4GB DDR2 800mhz, to the following:

CPU - Intel i5-2500K
MB - Gigabyte Z68X-UD3R motherboard
RAM - 8GB G.Skill RipjawsX 1600mhz
CASE - Coolermaster RC 690 Advanced II
Optical - Pioneer 206BK Blu-Ray writer

Components brought from previous machine:
AUDIO - ASUS Xonar DX
Speakers - Logitech Z-5500
VGA - HIS Radeon 6850 1GB
HDD - 1.5TB SATA2 Seagate 7200rpm and 2TB Seagate SATA3 "green" at 5400RPM or something
MONITORS: Samsung BX2440 @ 1920x1080 and Chimei CMV 221D @ 1680x1050

This build is totally MONSTROUS. It turned out better than expected, I had been thinking I'd still need to move to a CrossfireX or SLI setup to get decent graphics, but the CPU has done wonders!

In the two days I've had the computer up and running, I've taken these readings:

Portal 2 - Details maxed out, 4xAA, 16xAF - solid 60fps
Crysis Warhead - "Enthusiast" level with 4xAA and 16xAF - 35-45fps
Fallout 3 - "Ultra" graphics details including 4xAA and 15xAF, no INI mods, only texture mods are body mods - 50-60fps (usually 57-60)

I'm thinking of waiting for the next gen Geforce cards to come out, or to see if there are any whispers of DirectX 12 coming into the picture any time soon. I'd like to upgrade to a GTX 570, as I intend to keep my old computer running as a studio/recording machine but haven't got a spare video card.
