Convicted murderer of George godson in a prison escape from pentridge in 1965.

He was the last man to be executed in Australia, and even today, people still claim his innocence. A single bullet that was never found, could have proved this.

He was hanged February 3, 1968, aged 41.

There's a pic of his helmet from that day that's quite disturbing also, it shows the compression where the wheel hit and the hole from the suspension in the visor but the sickening part is the blood in the lining.

That crash is a real tear jerker. Just watching David Purley trying to help his mate while he's screaming for help is very moving and then watching him when he realizes there's nothing he can do, I'm speachless. That guy is a real hero.
