Hi There are two switches one has a plug the other doesn't have a plug in it at all , So I squashed the two prongs together - The one that has no plug in it then took it for a drive went perfect - then I drove somewhere turnt the car off & went like **** again - done it all over again went fine - turn car off goes like **** makes the whole car change in performance - idle - gears everything :/ It's driving me nuts !

Switches under the brake pedal can't make your car become faulty - I'm pretty sure the switches are for your brake lamps and cancellation of cruise control.

Is the engine warning light on? SVS message displayed?

I would get codes checked before you start crimping more wires together............
