Coming along quite nicely.
The strut brace does need to be black, or silver though.

Also, you should look at re painting the airbox, fan shroud and the black plastic strip near the bonnet catch.
The engine looks so shiny and new, and those three bits are starting to let it down.

With my cold start issue, Im almost certain its a failed/incorrectly installed internal pump

Replaced external about a week ago with standard genuine bosch, was quieter than the one that was on there (aftermarket), but as of the last few days its noisy as ####.

It gets higher pitched when I unplug internal pump

I would paint them but I dont want to #### them up, as Im no painter even though Ive managed to do some good painting. I did try to paint a fan shroud and ####ed it up.

----------------------

Spent a good few hours on the girl today, mostly replacing the main rear wiring loom with one that handnt been touched. The one that runs from drivers kick panel through to the fuel pumps. I thought that may have been something to do with my fuel prob as the fuel pump wire had been cut and repaired, among others. No such luck. So tomorrow Im replacing the internal pump and have a brand new sender to fit too. Scored that for sweet FA. :)

Rear harness with 2 fabric tapes (internal/external) ready to be installed:

That tail loom looks good.
Might steal that idea for my mates VL. Sick of fixing the lights every time he has it out.
I've been trying to convince him to cut open the lights, install those square LED lights for trailers and be done with it. Even measured up a few and they were nearly 100% spot on.
If I had another VL, that's what I'd do to it. No more rusty, non working leaking lights.
