I'm pretty happy with my VY. Although I do have an LS1 so if you're buying a 6, most of the reasons I love it won't apply to you. Interior is a lot nicer in the VY than VT/VX.

Cons would be crap brakes & gear box.

Have had a VY supercharged for 1yr 7months and absolutely love it. Brilliant power and lots of fun to drive. If you are a good driver, you'll make a V8 driver cry with your V6 supercharger. No offence to the V8 owners. And if you manage to get one that pushes high PSI from the factory, you'll be smiling each time you put your foot down.

And mind you, with just a cold air induction kit, good spark plug wires/plugs, and full exhaust system, she goes all the way to 225km/h easy.

I'm talking from experience, no bull****.

who cares want economy buy a 4 banger. Tuned LS1s are not bad on fuel at all.

I second that, since my tune economy has been excellent, every bit as good as my auto 6 used to be.

 

[New Supercharger]

I have had a VY II Supercharged for a little over 3 years, bought brand new.

Pros:
1. Over all a lovely car and heaps of power.
2. Kicks XR 6 a*** and is very fast off the mark.
3. I have done 230km/h easy on it - Stock engine with K & N Air filters and Iradium
Plugs.
4. Burns the wheels every time;
5. Comfortable car.

The problems i have had with it are:
1. minor rattling ound from when the front window are wound up fully;
2. squeaky sound when steering is n full turn;
3. not meant for bad roads.

What is the legal tyre size limit for vy's in QLD? I want to throw on 20's on my vy but I cant really afford to get defected.
