As Adox's info backs up, the Skyline now runs VQ25 and VQ30 variants, which are V6 engines.

But looking at Bextor84's info, it says they alsoi still use the RB25's etc.

the R34 skylines, the current model have the RB25DET in the GT-T and the line also has the last of the true godzillas with the RB26DETT. These engines use exactly the same block as our faithful VL 2.0 and 3.0 ltr. but everything else is different, heads (twin cam) internals, electronics, you name it. If there are to be any new skylines from now on they will either have a twin turbo V6 or there has been rumours from the mill about a v8 but none have entered production. its still just the R34 shape, and Godzilla production has already stopped. Hope this answers some questions...

R31s came with the rb30. that was it for the 3ltr strate 6
the r31 also had the ceramic turbo r31gts ..what motor specks did this have?
the vq powered nissans are NOT skylines. in my eyes the skyline finished with the R34 GTRVspec S2
or the lm (lemans version :king: )
the new skyline. bah they can keep it BUT atleast theyve scrapped the ideah of making it a V8

i was looking at converting my exec froma rb30 and droping in a rb30et
would a rb26dett be better? how much more would it cost? still in same block year? so no probs droping it in?

an rb is a strate forward conversion. an rb30 - an rb30 should literaly be lift the onld out and dump the new in... cortrect me if im wrong but it seems common sence
