I have an 07 R8 clubsport and am trying to figure out the difference between the regular R8 models and the E1,E2,E3 models?

E2 interior same as E1, but changed body work (bumper and bonnet). E3 is Based on VE II Commodore so interior is VE II style dash, changed body work again bonnet looks like E2 with the vents, but bumper change. 6.2 was from 2008 (April from memory) E1 still at that time. If you look on Carsales you should be able to spot differences, also if you look for Classics on HSV website. There is pics and specs.

They changed from E1 to E2 in 2009.

Not correct, E2 had GXP Clubsport, later E3s also had base model Clubsport 317 kw compared to 325 (R8) it missed out on the EDI and bi-modal exhaust.

E2/E3 also had launch control (manual only) and 3 stage ESC with competitive mode.

Thanks for that, knew all the R8s are clubsports just wasn't sure what the difference was between the 1 2 3's

I didn't think HSV called the GXP a Clubsport and thought it was just a GXP sedan or ute.
