Two spectators have been taken to hospital after a car flipped into the crowd during a V8 Supercars support race at Ipswich, west of Brisbane.
Driver Kain Magro's vehicle cartwheeled over a protective barrier at turn six of the Queensland Raceway circuit during the opening race of the Mini Challenge series.
A V8 Supercars spokesman said two spectators were treated and taken by ambulance to Ipswich Base Hospital.
"The extent of their injuries was unknown but both were conscious whilst being treated at the scene," he said.
"There were no other reported injuries.
"The Mini driver was also transported by ambulance to Ipswich Base Hospital for precautionary tests but was reportedly not injured."
No further details are available.
Racing was delayed for almost an hour by the accident.
Ipswich is hosting the fifth round of the V8 Supercars series.
