Hey everyone,
New here and in need of some advice

I have a VR Acclaim Series II and was quoted $100 to replace the top radiator tank as it is leaking.

was wondering whether this is a good price or am i better off just getting a new one?

Thank,
Phil

Welcome to JustCommodores
My bet is to ring around and get a few quotes before you get ANYTHING done because then you know what is the norm and have options and even tell one person that another can do it cheaper and they will most probably match it.

But that sound pretty reasonable for me, could be wrong tho , sorry

Firstly, welcome to JC !

This could be a good omen, my dads VR series 2 V6 was dumping coolant everywhere, left, rite and centre.
After spending a couple of hundred getting it tested etc.,, an apprentice suggested they peel the top and bottom tanks off, and clean out the inner tubes properly with a bit of wire or something. No probs. since, runs like a dream.
Dont waste your money on a new one, as they usualy only a poorby reco anyways!

Good Luck !!!
