Don't feel any guilt using force to push the original mufflers back through the rubber hangers. Mine where a bit of a b!tch to do as I didn't have the car up on stands. Other than that it took all of 10 minutes start to finish.

Just ordered mine today.
Any installation tips?
Can't wait for a better v8 sound

A squirt of wd40 or the like will have them slip in and out without force.

Hi All, sorry to dig up an old thread.

Got the marriage savers put on my VF SS today. The sound id quite impressive, though agree with the OP in that they do drone when the AFM kicks in. Not a lot, but noticeable and a bit annoying after a while .

I did the trick mentioned earlier about putting a blanket in the spare wheel well. it did help a bit.

Look into the range technology AFM de activator if it gets too much..... Can pill out at anytime if you want the AFM.

Thanks mate. I'll see if I can tolerate it long term. It's an every day work car so I don't want it to get too annoying.

Found a little trick with highway driving. Put it in Sports mode, flick it back to 5th, which puts it in manual mode, then back to 6th. The AFM won't work in manual mode. Though I'm guessing most people knew that.

Funny enough, took the family for a long drive yesterday. Asked them if the noise was annoying. They said "what noise ? "

I think the buzzing noise is most apparent to the driver, as my wife has said the same thing....

Spoke to the guys at Rapid today, as the drone when the is AFM on is getting to the point where I feel like taking the marriage Savers off. They said to bring it in, as they are quite surprised it's so bad. Thing is I've got no time until the new year.

Thinking the fact the tips seem sit more inwards than other cars I've seen with these pipes may not help things either

It's heaps better if you get AFM disabled or a range technology device, but agree they are terrible with AFM functional.
