I have alternator whine when i watch dvd's in my car.

I only hear it while the over head dvd player is switched on and my headunit source is switched to aux.

I have my dvd player audio output connected via the aux on my headunit. I ran the power (for the dvd player) and rca cables (dvd -> aux) together, down the A pillar next to each other, is this the most likely cause of the alternator whine?

or it could be a ground loop created only when the dvd is switched on... the rca if they are sheilded, wont sound too bad because the dvd player wont draw much current. try running a cable for the h/u and one for the dvd for the ground to where the amps are grounded. use the exact same point. if theres no noise then its a loop.
