My car's more often then not sitting in the garage, but lately have been driving it allot.

Anyway I wanna give the car a 'Big Service' mechanical wise to ensure its running at its best, here are a few things I wanna do, can anyone give me anymore to do as I dont have the service manual.

- Oil Flush and Change
- Oil Filters
- Fuel Filters
- Belts
- Spark plugs
- Coolant Flush
- Gearbox Flush
- Gearbox Oils
- Leads
- Gasket seals (Maybe)
- Brake Fluid change (<< Is this essential)

Thats all I can think of for now, Ive got a new Condessor for my aircon which Im fitting on the weekend then getting regassed and I wanna ensure my cars in tip top condition.

The rocker cover gaskets went on both the Ecotec's I've owned not long after I got them, so that would be worth a look. Very quick and easy to change if need be.
Sounds obvious and you'll probably do it anyway, but the air filter would be worth checking too. I'd do the brake fluid as well.
And maybe a check over the suspension - bushes etc, depending on how long its been. Hope that helps.

Check the oil level in your diff, no need to drain and refill unless you tow a lot.
Check your spark plug lead resistance, short leads max about 10,000 ohm, long ones about 17,000 ohm max. If they are not damaged and under this resistance no need to change them.
Change your power steering fluid
If the transmission fluid is not burnt, or gritty and has been changed when required there is no need to flush it just drain, clean out the pan, new filter and gasket and refill the service quantity of fluid.
Intank fuel strainers need replacing at 200,000km.
Other than service items if they are working I wouldn't simply change them especially if your have road service on the car. I would however consider checking the fuel pressure to make sure the pump is OK especially if it has high K's.

I reckon cleaning your upper intake would also be a good idea.. just pull the lid off the plenum and get cleaning
theres a thread in the how to section about cleaning the upper intake

Nulon make a foaming spray cleaner you can use on the intake manifold. I was going to give it a try. It saves having to take it apart and deal with that mucky stuff.

Brake Fluid change (<< Is this essential)

Holden advise to do a brake fluid flush every 2 years.

Thats a strange one. Some other car manufacturers recommend the same, but lots of others ones don't.
It costs around $70 - $80 to have done it by a brake specialist.
