They fit with heaps of room under 8 1/2" rims .
Actually that's not true.
The rims need to be Brembo compatable not just a certain width & Diameter.
The brakes are so wide that most 8 1/2 " rims will not fit over them.
It has to do with the wheel design, anything with a dish style will not fit over Brembos. Have a look at the Pattern of all HSV wheels, they are flat faced, no concave.

just fitted redline fronts to my VE... Actually bought them off here still in the box in as new condition for 800.
They fit with heaps of room under 8 1/2" rims . As far as the debate on going the bigger break option? As it was explained to me unless your going to the track and require a thousand stops from flat out the redlines will be more than sufficient. I can vouch for that .
Maybe I should have been more specific ...they fit with heaps of room under my my 20 x 8 1/2" Lorenzo rims , which im not 100% sure came with a brembo compliance sticker attached...lol

I also want to upgrade my brakes on my 2012 ss z and would like to know if the redline brembo's will fit the 19 inch charcoal rims.

Assuming the brembo disk sits in more or less the same spot as your current disk location...
Measure from the current fitted disk face to the back of your rim.
You need approx 75mm of space across the whole disk face.
I thought the redline brembos would clear with my rims but didn't so had to get some custom hub centric spacers made.
