Regular Unleaded fuel to be removed from bowsers by July 2012

I haven't seen anywhere that sells regular in years. I thought it was already phased out from the last labor government.

And it will require lead-replacement (95RON) anyway any decent factroy car these days is 98RON only.

Oh boy. Lucky schools back. I use 98 in my bog stock commodore. Way I see it is this. 10 to 20 bucks more is what a couple meals at maccas. Skip those and it's no different.

Regular unleaded should've been banned years ago.....its a waste of fuel production and with bad fuel economy in cars I haven't touched it for years

We can afford premium and would never touch that ethanol crap but I'm still a bit miffed, I don't see any reason to get rid of it whats the point?

My thoughts exactly.

But what annoys me, is that 15kms in a circular direction where I live, premium is 20cents dearer than regular. I could understand up to 5cent difference between all 3, but 20 cents is just gouging.

I thought the government were going to start regulating, or was that monitoring?

Yeah that never happened. I like how our fuel subsidy we once had was canned.

I don't see any reason to get rid of it whats the point?

lower emissions from cleaner burning fuel. just another step towards a clearer atomsphere. although passenger vehicles contribute f' all in the grand scheme of things, every little bit helps... i guess.
