hi guys, went to holden dealer today and asked if they sell shims seperatley, they said no,the only come with new pads WTF!!! went to a couple of other outlets and they dont sell either,may have to go to the wreckers and see how much they will rip me of.lol

Does yours have them on there now? If they arent broken or contacting the rotor anywhere they should be fine.

yes shims are in there, i had a look today took them out and put them back in, but couldnt see anything that could be touching the disc,
since i cant buy any new ones over the counter i will go and see if the wreckers have any and try them out,

If they are ok theres no point replacing them.

Some grease where the tabs of the brake pads slide along wont hurt though.

had another look at it yesterday put grease on the slides etc.still couldnt see anthing that could be contacting the disc,im putting it down to the brake pads,may get a different brand and try them out
