removing transmission help

hey guys, im getting under my car tomorrow to take out the transmission. just need to know how to get it out. is it as easy as getting under there and realising when u look at it how to do it? or do i need to know some tricks? thanks

Not for the faint hearted mate, especially if you haven't done it before and dont know what to do. Autos are a HEAVY bit of gear and doing it on the ground would be quite tricky. I used a hoist, and it still took me a good 3-4 hrs (in and out) to do it myself
