Hey all,

I have a VP series 2 and having a bit of a problem with it.
When the car is idoling both hot and cold it is missing causing a very rough idol.
Ive changed plugs, leads, tried another coil pack, cleaned my injectors.

problem is still there. it only misses on cylinder 6 and when the car revs alittle its sweet as.

Any suggestions what it could be?

It's possible that the bellmouth that's in the top of the intake manifold has been removed. It was designed to allow more even airflow to the back to cylinders for a better idle.

did you just change the coil pack or do the ignition module as well?

No i just switched the single coil pack......got it off a mate had a spare one.....
Might give that a go.

If the ignition module went, then would both the plugs not be working for instance 6 & 3?

Nah i know its still in there cause the car has been in the family since new, its schmick as.....would removing it help you think to get more air flow?

No. Leaving it in there helps it get more airflow.

The bellmouth was designed to allow better airflow for the back to 2 cylinders

I had mine completely stalling. Wouldn't idle.

Turn up to a set of lights, and you'd lose the benefits of power steering and the brake booster.

Mine was a Throttle Position Sensor problem.
