Rounded sump plug! Welding Onto A Sump Plug?

monkey wrench is different to a stiltson (pipe wrench) but I vote for that too.

If my sump bolt looks a bit worn I wont put it back in, it is only a few $$$ to replace and some these days have deformable washers anyway so should be replaced regardless. A little off topic but you can also get over sized threads if some too let their apprentice over tighten and strip the thread on the sump, but they cost $6 :O

TECHNICALLY a monkey wrench has no teeth. It's just two flat surfaces and no movement in the upper jaw. Where as a pipe wrench (Stilsons Wrench) has angled teeth and allows some movement in the upper jaw so as to grip tighter as more force is applied.

End of the day, they all get named the same thing often. In this instance, you would want the pipe wrench to bite on the rounded edges.
