Matty- found out its actully the complete opposite.
Average grease is 02, self levelling is 00
Self levelling is extremely thin- and used on the spindles of cotton pickers (I think it was he said) so be careful before pumping thick **** where thin **** is required.
Well, to clear this story up, one guy on an internet forum (BTW I'm restoring an old Rotary Hoe, which is what I need the grease for) said that the hoe should use 00 self-levelling grease. I went to the hoe's company direct and they told me they use Lithium grease, which is what I bought. ($22 for 2 litres).
yep more trouble than it's worth, I got bored and it was leaking out sludge everywhere, so I pulled it down, needed new axle shaft and bearings, and I fully stripped and resprayed it.
