Agree, selling privately is likely to get the most $$$, but as a data point - when I recently sold my Astra RSV:
- Tesla trade-in - $17500
- Carsales instant offer - $18,700
- ex-Holden dealer - $20,000

I couldn't be bothered trying to sell privately, so I took the $20k
