Holden VZ Commodore 2004 LEO 3.6L Station Wagon - I noticed that there is an oil leak, that is either from a leaking crankcase or timing case seal or sensor seal. I am not certain what type of sensor this is, but have indicated the area where I suspect the sensor is located. The sensor location is behind the ECU module. Need to know what type of sensor, part number if known and the sensor seal. I should be able to replace the seal first after removing the ECU first. Any feedback would be appreciated. Tx

This is the seal you want.

Straight forward to get them out.
Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery before anything. Tuck it away.

Remove the ECM mount nuts. 7mm bolt on the ECM earth.

The sensors are the cam actuators and the cam position sensors. 10mm bolt holds each one in.

Remove them. Clean the actuators out with throttle body cleaner. Wipe with paper towel. The Cam sensors can be cleaned off with some paper towel soaked in throttle body cleaner. Maybe use your wife's tooth brush to scrub them up a bit.

There are either 4 cam sensors or 2, and either 4 actuators or two, depending if you have an LE0 motor or LY7.

So you might need 8 seals or 4 depending on the car.
The seals must be orientated a particular way.

There is a thread or two on it somewhere. @krusing did something with them.
