the cover's for the sidi engine look a bit cheap to me, old cover's made it look decent, but in the end you can just take the cover off?

Do you guys want some pics of the ve sidi sv6. I got 1 as a rental. The inlet manifold is the same set up as vz but better. It is smaller so u can get at the plugs without taking it off. Im looking to buy 1 to fit to my vz.

this is the MY10 3L SIDI, which I assume would be identical to the 3.6L SIDI... they looked the same at the dealer. I'll be removing all the plastic fantasic shortly :).

The engine bay looks even more cramped than the VZ V6's....

Probably right ...but you are not gonna live in there :spot on:.... you shouldn't need to spend too much time in the engine bay these days unless you are going to do a lot of work on the engine yourself (my complete respect to the people that do - and the techs that look after my car). I had my VY for 5 years and no-one ever had to do any more than the usual service work, not one breakdown...not one repair; I'm hoping my sidi 3.6 will be equally as reliable.

Did you notice? No battery..... it's been moved to the boot!

But still...end result is the safest, most advanced aussie made six ever!:beer chug:
