Lol.... its everyones fault except the first car there!!! I'm sure panel beaters/repair shops in the area are making a LOT of money!!

yeh itd be prime season for the panel beaters. i cant believe theres soo many stupid people goin drivin in thos conditions. the only part of my car thatd hit that sorta road would be the rear tyres. :D:D

I know, eh? But I can't blame them, it must be scary as all hell knowing full well that you're going to crunch into the car infront of you, and not being able to do diddly squat about it :p At least that second bloke had the right idea, hop out the passenger side and use your body as a snow plough :yeah:

I'm so glad we don't get such badly iced up roads down in aus ^^

hmm I'm not gonna pretend to know the right thing to do in that situation... so what is the right thing to do? :S

And ya gotta feel sorry for the cops who attend scenes like that... think of all the paperwork they'd have to do :p

There's not really anything you CAN do, except stay off the roads if you suspect ice. By the time you get there, it's usually too late :p

futile I know, but I would've thrown the car in reverse and held the redline in hope of finding ANY traction, or at least creating enough friction to scrape/melt off some of that ice and find a patch of road. :p

What if a car have ABS would the wheel still lockup on a very slippery surface or there is almost no braking at all??
