Hey guys

Turned my car on today n for some unknown reason my passenger woofer starts to crackle even at really low base. Its hard to explain, but its the same sorta sound you get when trying to pump huge bass into a speaker, and then it stops producing bass n sounds like your wrecking the thing

However like i said this only happens at low volume, with bass. it can go high without bass.

I pulled the speaker out, wirings good, and ive tried 3 other tweeter and crossovers on the woofer itself. Anyone got an idea on wtf is happening? ive tried every setting on both my ipod (which is usualy my sound source) and the headunit, but it just keeps on goin

tried another woofer in place of the screwed one, works perfect. Broken woofer does the same on the other side. guess its just more money down the drain :p

Sounds like it, were you using a high pass filter (HPF) on them?
