Speedo reading wrong. I've just done a manual conversion

I've just finished a manual conversion on my vl.it has a rb 20det and a vl turbo diff in it. It's reading about 15kmhp slower than it should be.any heip would be appreciated. Thank you

15 kph slower, at what speed ?.
Easiest way, if it is 15 kph slower at 100kph, is change the driven gear on the speedo cable at the box, for one that has 15% less teeth in order to speed the speedo up.
You may never get it perfect but most speedos are never correct anyway.

yep try with gearing first and u should be able to get it close, if thats not possible then the speedo can be calibrated itself but the odo will always be out because its mechanically driven, much cheaper option is the gear

Someone wrecking a VL ?
I have some in Brisbane depending on which one you need.
i.e how many teeth do you need and measurements, length overall and diameter of gear as well as diameter of shaft, along with a pic of the present gear.
Some of the old HQ-WB + VB VH VK gears in the trimatic range were the same as VL, but not sure about the manual ones.
