srs airbag light issues

ok so had the tech 2 scan and faulted the passenger side seat belt pretension swapped it out but still throwing the code. checked wiring all looks ok so thinking the module might be shot. its a vy ss ute the module says 3 loop
so from what I can gather its
1 airbag
2 seatbelt pretensioners???
just wondering as to if I have the wrong module in or it has been configured wrong

yeah I did thats what makes me think the module is stuffed

Doesn't the SS have side impact airbags?

With seat belt pretensioners and drivers and passenger airbags like the VY SS ute has you should have a 4 loop SDM system fitted.

So its throwing the same fault? or an "unknown" fault as the tech2 will do when its confused (incorrect cluster airbag config)

First up, have you changed the seats out for new ones by anychance?
Do you have front passenger and drivers airbags?
Have you changed your cluster recently?
Is the fault by anychance srs code 53.. which is a configuration?

its throwing the same code passenger side seat belt pretensioner. I did a ls1 conversion so everything was stripped outta the donor car into this one srs loom seats n everything.
I have drivers side airbag only.
I might try n refig the loop system n see wat happens

Strange it doesn't have passenger airbag as well. VY SS ute came standard with it.

Well from messing with the tech2 and clusters. I can tell you the standard configs are:
0-loop: no airbags
2-loop: pretensioners (one for each seat)
3-loop: Preten, Drivers Airbag
4-loop: Preten, Drivers, Passengers airbag
6-loop: Preten, Drivers, Passengers, Side airbags

So you config sounds right, Pretensioners and drivers airbag. Looks like you might have a proper issue with your pretensioners. Did your mechanic give you any more detailed information amount the circuit resistance(high or low?) or capacitance values? This would show you wether your actually getting a proper connection between the pretensioner and the rest of the circuit or if there is a connection loss ect.
